Bringing Learning into the Third Dimension!

Learn the basics of TinkerCAD, a browser-based 3D modeling application. Even if you don't have a 3D printer to actually print your object, creating models in TinkerCAD can allow for students to show their learning in a new way! You will learn to combine simple geometric shapes to make unique forms, consider things like measurements, and ultimately grow your spatial awareness. If my third graders can do it, so can you! Don't be intimidated... we'll do it together. We will end the session with brainstorming ways that TinkerCAD can be used in any subject with any grade level (recommended grades 3 +up). Bring a laptop or Chromebook to make the most of this experience.

Time: Session 2
Location: Innovation Center (Fishtank)
Presentation Format:
Interactive/Hands on
Target Audience: Just getting started
Grade Configuration: Teachers-3 to 5, Teachers-6 to 8, Teachers-9 to 12, Administrators/School Leaders
